Distinguished Macedonian pianist Simon Trpčeski returns to the HK Phil to perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 2, a work that intricately weaves technical brilliance with lyrical depth, showcasing Trpčeski’s exceptional talent. Making his HK Phil debut, acclaimed Swiss conductor Philippe Jordan – Music Director of the Wiener Staatsoper and Music Director Designate of the Orchestre National de France – will direct the orchestra in a performance of two colourful works by Maurice Ravel: Valses nobles et sentimentales and the second suite of Daphnis et Chloé.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
